Is every crack a foundation problem?
No. Thin, straight cracks from concrete shrinkage are common. Cracks that widen, run diagonally or come with sticking doors are worth checking.
Should I seal my crawl space?
Sealing can help in humid East Tennessee, but it needs proper drainage and moisture control. A contractor can tell you if it suits your home.
Is a damp basement normal?
Some dampness is common, but standing water, efflorescence and mildew are signs to act.
Can I fill cracks myself?
You can seal hairline cracks, but structural cracks need the cause fixed first.
Is a cracked garage floor a problem?
